Don’t be late, come early!

Praise be to Allah , who is Al-Malik-ul-Mulk, and salutations and peace be upon His Messenger.

Dear Friends,

Allah , the Almighty, with the secret of the verse “All it takes, when He wills something ˹to be˺, is simply to say to it: “Be!” And it is! (Yasin, 82)”, has imposed systems within the circle of order and regularity on everything He has created.  He invites every being living within these systems to know Him, to recognise Him, to believe, to worship and to pray.

Allah  has sent prophets to help us recognise and know Him, to believe in His existence and unity, and to worship Him, and He has crowned the response to all these invitations with prayer. This matter is described by the Creator in the 2nd and 3rd verses of Surat al-Baqarah as “Those who believe in the unseen and keep the prayers righteous and spend (in the way of Allah) out of the provision We have given them”. The Prophet  also emphasised the importance of being in the presence of Allah  in the way He has commanded by saying “Prayer is the miraj of the believer”.

People with nafs-i emmare love to be extraordinary. Glamorous lives, pomp and circumstance, red carpets, receptions, VIP services… Just as there is a kind way of behaviour such as thanking for every good and beauty done, there is also the possibility and necessity to be grateful for every blessing given to us.

The most beautiful and most important of thanks and gratitude is to Allah , the Almighty.

The most beautiful thanks and gratitude to our Lord is, of course, prayer.

“The handsome man woke up early, dressed in his clean and newest clothes, with his cufflinks on his shirt, his watch on his wrist and his scent that leaves its trace in the places he passes, he goes to his beloved. The woman is excited… She too woke up early, dressed in her cleanest and most beautiful clothes. She is also running to her beloved. Who knows, maybe because of the darkness, maybe because of the fear of being late, maybe because of the love inside. Both of them are running to their beloved. ”

The above lines may have reminded you of the reunion story of two young people who love each other. On the contrary, the above lines tell the story of two young people going to the mosque for the morning prayer before the black silence starts to turn into a dark blue scream.

While the adhan, which is recited five times every day, reminds us of our Lord and the worship, thanksgiving and prayers we should perform, we cannot turn away from it with various excuses.

Prayer is our miraj, prayer is our means of salvation…

Wouldn’t you like to meet the owner? Then come on, don’t be late!

Take your ablution, with the most beautiful and cleanest clothes, with the right intention… Let’s run to our Lord with takbirs on our tongue, salutations and greetings on our tongue.

To our Lord who has mercy on us, who has mercy on us… To our Lord who has blessed us with all kinds of blessings despite our mistakes, flaws and sins…

Soon the adhan will be called… Excuse me… My Lord is calling me, I have to run to prayer…

With greetings and prayers…
